Official News Blog and Website Wrapper, December 2003
The Residents' Official News Blog and Website Wrapper was a news blog maintained by Big Brother of The Cryptic Corporation which began August 15th 2003, following the company's purchase of the residents.com domain name from fan site RZWeb (now defunct).
The blog later developed into the BOG, a dedicated news blog which was The Cryptics' (and thus, The Residents') main outlet for communication with their fans until the website's redesign in 2008.

Disfigured Night DVD presale
- The 1997 German performance/TV piece is finally getting some respect.
- Ralph America has announced that there are definite plans for a DVD release of Disfigured Night coming later in the fall. The disc will include the original broadcast version which was shot by VIVA (German music TV) in celebration for the Residents 25th Anniversary. Also on the disc will be a unique video remix. This was created by taking feeds directly from the cameras before the graphics were inserted to replace the green screen. Therefore the green screen could be removed by The Residents and enhanced with new backgrounds.
- This new 2003 full length (31 minutes) rethinking of the story of Silly Billy is accompanied by both a 5.1 Dolby Digital Surround mix and a PCM Stereo mix for those without surround systems. NTSC, 4:3 ratio picture.
- At this time, no release date has been announced as the packaging is still being designed. Watch these pages for a release date announcement.

Euro Ralph to sign distribution deal in the USA
- Indie distributor, Forced Exposure, will carry European Residents releases in 2004.
- Euro Ralph and Forced Exposure have reached agreement for FE to become the USA distributor for their releases.
- Residents titles have disappeared from the shops since The Cryptic Corporation and the ESD agreement ended last year. Euro Ralph hopes to get CD's back in stores starting, perhaps, as early as January 2004 as a result of this new arrangement.
- The first Forced Exposure releases from Euro Ralph will be:
- - Have a Bad Day (CD)
- - Roadworms (CD/Vinyl)
- - George & James (CD)
- - Snakefinger (CD)
- - Duck Stab & Buster Glen (2/mini CD)
- - Commercial Album (CD)
- FE will also distribute the new Classic Vinyl Series release of "Meet The Residents."

Study The Residents and earn college credit
- Indiana University School of Music in Bloomington to offer class
- The relevant course (presumably after studying the history of Rock music from inception through to the British Invasion and beyond) is this:
- Z320-Beach Boys, Beefheart and The Residents
- This course follows the Beach Boys from their humble surf beginnings to their mid-60's pinnacle of studio creativity, Pet Sounds. Next, Captain Beefheart whose Dada blend of Delta Blues, free jazz, rock 'n' roll, art and poetry has caused many critics to exhaust their thesaurus. And finally, the Residents have been performing and releasing music for 30 years. Their story will be told through their music and films.
