Official News BOG, November 2004
The Residents' Official News BOG was a news blog maintained by Big Brother of The Cryptic Corporation beginning in August 2003 (originally titled The Residents' Official News Blog and Website Wrapper), following the company's purchase of the residents.com domain name from fan site RZWeb (now defunct).
Around March 2004, this blog became known as the Official News BOG. In this form, the blog became The Cryptics' (and thus, The Residents') main outlet for communication with their fans until the website's redesign in 2008.

I Murdered Mommy
- Designed to be the crowning glory of The Residents wild ride with CD-ROM, I Murdered Mommy became an insane vision. Even as The Residents labored to design and sell the idea, the whole CD-ROM market was collapsing around them. The project was finally shelved.
- The new release is a book of the drawings and writings for the project plus a CD of preliminary music that was used for the corporate sales pitches in the attempt to raise the funds to actually create the CD-ROM. It is an intriguing look at an idea that never happened as well as plug a hole in The Residents project time line. It will not be the actual CD-ROM, of course, as it never existed.

I Murdered Mommy song titles
- A couple of people have asked about song titles for I MURDERED MOMMY.
- Originally I thought there were not any titles. But a little checking has turned up the mastering sheet. That is the official paper that goes to the CD manufacturers to give them the tech info they need to make the plates.
- While these seems to be more descriptive rather than "title-ish" it is what I found, in case you want to write them in your IMM booklet.

Icky Flix DVD Resurrected
- One of the big losses when the ESD era ended was that Icky Flix, The Residents very first DVD, also disappeared from stores. MVD, the distributor that distributed "Eskimo" and "Demons Dance Alone" DVD is set to release Icky Flix during the first quarter of 2005.

The Residents coming to Australia

- The buzz is too loud to ignore. The Residents appear to be headed for some festivals in Australia in March 2005. There has been a long cry for this since the group hasn't played there since their 13th Anniversary Show. Considering this will be their 33rd Anniversary Show, I think you can figure out how long that has been.
- I heard Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane.
- I'll report more info as it comes in.

Residents Radio Special on national Japanese NHK FM radio

- Kusatte mo tai
- NHK FM, the national FM radio in Japan, will broadcast a 40 minute music special on The Residents, "The Residents Special" during a New Year's extended version of a regular Saturday afternoon program called "Sekai no kaiteki ongaku" (Comfortable music in the world).
- It will be aired on January 8. Gonzalez Mikami from the popular instrumental duo, Gonchichi, will host this program along with Residents expert, Manabu Yuasa, who has hosted lectures on the group in Japan.
