Official News BOG, December 2005
The Residents' Official News BOG was a news blog maintained by Big Brother of The Cryptic Corporation beginning in August 2003 (originally titled The Residents' Official News Blog and Website Wrapper), following the company's purchase of the residents.com domain name from fan site RZWeb (now defunct).
Around March 2004, this blog became known as the Official News BOG. In this form, the blog became The Cryptics' (and thus, The Residents') main outlet for communication with their fans until the website's redesign in 2008.
This page collects posts made to this news blog in December 2005, as archived on archive.org, transcribed to this wiki by a Mysterious Spanish Lady.

Past Present and Future
- An end of year look at what happened. And a peek at the future.
- 2005 started strong with a brief tour of Australia celebrating the group's thirty third anniversary. The show, The Way We Were , was more of a fun outing and not one of their massive conceptual tours. In fact, indications are that the massive tour era could be over at this point. If you saw Demons Dance Alone , it certainly had overtones of that considering an "Eyeball" was given a goodbye kiss, maybe even a "kiss-off."
- Immediately after this, Animal Lover was released by Mute , and it proved to be a critical and commercial hit, despite its dark tone of doom.
- 2005 also launched the BOGcast with Sparky trying to talk to as many folks as possible and put it out as a podcast. He plans many more shows in 2006. The Bog also expanded with HISTORICAL , a long requested addition of collected past information, a sort of museum of Residentsmania.
- Euro Ralph and MVD released a Wormwood Live DVD and Mute put out two major reissues, The Third Reich 'N' Roll in a hard bound book, and The Mole Trilogy , four CD's all beautifully wrapped in deluxe packaging.
- Ralph America came on strong with a reissue of Live at the Fillmore , and a CD/DVD release of the Australian show mentioned earlier, The Way We Were .
- All in all a pretty nice bunch of stuff.
- But we always like to speculate too. This time I have managed to not just speculate but to announce on Brumalia , the 25th os December, a new critical Residents project.
