Official News BOG, July 2004
The Residents' Official News BOG was a news blog maintained by Big Brother of The Cryptic Corporation beginning in August 2003 (originally titled The Residents' Official News Blog and Website Wrapper), following the company's purchase of the residents.com domain name from fan site RZWeb (now defunct).
Around March 2004, this blog became known as the Official News BOG. In this form, the blog became The Cryptics' (and thus, The Residents') main outlet for communication with their fans until the website's redesign in 2008.

Commercial Album 25th Anniversary Special Edition
- The Commercial Album turns twenty-five in 2005 and The Residents and Mute will be ready offering a deluxe CD with gloriously illustrated 32 page booklet. Due out October 25th along with the DVD.

- Word is that the DVD will be released by MUTE October 25th. Just in time for... which holiday is it that is at the end of October. All Saints Day, of course.

Brumalia finally lands at Ralph America with the correct cover
- Ralph America reports that the new covers are in, are correct and Brumalia is ready to start shipping on Monday the 18th.

Residents Albums Disappearing
- Despair sets in.
- There are big changes abreast concerning availability of Residents titles. ESD in the USA is no longer producing Residents CD’s, so all ESD CD’s are limited to what is still in the warehouse. A number of titles are already sold out, like (true to its name) Not Available. Mute is licensing some back catalog titles, five so far: Commercial, Wormwood, Gingerbread Man, Our Finest Flowers, Third Reich. These titles will be available only on the Mute label and the Bomba label starting this fall (2004).
- Due to changes in marketing music, some of the music will only be available in the future via download, or through special edition on CD’s.
- Below is a semi-accurate list of what is still being sold by Euro Ralph, Ralph America, and Bomba. Many are limited in quantity. The most accurate list is on each label’s web site, of course.
