Official News BOG, March 2005
The Residents' Official News BOG was a news blog maintained by Big Brother of The Cryptic Corporation beginning in August 2003 (originally titled The Residents' Official News Blog and Website Wrapper), following the company's purchase of the residents.com domain name from fan site RZWeb (now defunct).
Around March 2004, this blog became known as the Official News BOG. In this form, the blog became The Cryptics' (and thus, The Residents') main outlet for communication with their fans until the website's redesign in 2008.

Wormwood DVD coming from Euro Ralph

- Last week, Euro Ralph sneaked a bit of a new Wormwood DVD project in Sweden, and it did not go unnoticed by the fans. ER has now come clean admitting that they do have a master, but no package yet. They would not estimate when the release will be ready for consumption.

The banner photo - trouble in paradise
- I've gotten some e-mail about this photo... mainly about who and why is there a human face in the middle of the group.
- The face you see there belongs to Cryptic Corporation's Ryan Long who has just run on stage to assist with a technical problem the band is experiencing during a performance in Melbourne, Australia. The problem was quickly fixed, but not before the audience was treated to a surprise - and unrehearsed - rendition of "Smelly Tongues."

He is risen
- I stood at my window staring at an arching streetlight.
- A sudden wind made me pull my shoulders to my ears.
- I pissed into the dark. It smelled like canned tuna.
- My swollen lip throbbed. I could still taste the blood.
- My eyes rolled back looking for memories.
- I stopped.
- I was changing details in my mind, remembering only what I wanted it to be, not what it was. I had only a short time to do what had to be done, after that it would all be forever absorbed by my Imaginary Jack.
