"Duck Kosmische" is a limited edition 7" white label vinyl single by The Residents, featuring two previously unreleased "kosmische musik" recordings made by the group during the sessions that became the album Duck Stab!/Buster & Glen.
The single was released May 19th 2023 with early copies of the pREServed double LP set of Duck Stab!/Buster & Glen sold through the Cherry Red Records website, as well as being available separately via The Residents' official online store.
The title of the single was first (erroneously) announced as "Duck Komische" ("komische" being German for "weird" or "funny"); this is the second (possibly intentional) titling error in this series of singles, following the earlier mislabelling of the Babyfingers white label 7" as "Monstrous".

Release notes
Take a trip into a brief but aborted Residents space opera that never was. Long forgotten by the group until they recently revisited the 'Duck Stab!' multitrack tapes, and inspired by a late '70s fad for all things Germanic and Kosmische (best realised on the classic 'Krafty Cheese'), 'Duck Kosmische' represents the beginnings of yet another Residents project which burned brightly and briefly but, ultimately, never really went anywhere.[1]
