Cherry Red Records is a British record label, originally founded in 1971 as Cherry Red Promotions. The company was named after a song of the same name by English blues rock band The Groundhogs. Since the retirement of Hardy Fox from The Cryptic Corporation in 2016, Cherry Red has co-owned a 25% share of The Cryptic Corporation, alongside Homer Flynn and MVD Audio.

The company is the primary British and European distributor of The Residents' new album releases and the exhaustive pREServed series of reissues, an ongoing project headed by Cherry Red product manager Richard Anderson (or "RA") in close collaboration with Flynn and The Residents.

Under their book publishing imprint Cherry Red Books, Cherry Red have also issued Residents-related books, such as the Ian Shirley biography Never Known Questions, and the official Residents encyclopaedia Faceless Forever.
