"Sinister Exaggerator" is a song composed by The Residents and Snakefinger, recorded in 1977 for the Duck Stab! EP, and later appearing on the Duck Stab!/Buster & Glen album.
History
It was written and recorded by The Residents and Snakefinger in October 1977, and was first released on the Duck Stab! EP on February 1st 1978.
It was re-recorded in 2012 for the D*ck S*ab album. The re-recording is mostly faithful to the original, featuring different instruments and no vocals.
The Residents were filmed performing the song live in the studio in May 2021 for the Duck Stab Alive! streaming TV special, and it was performed at the Dog Stab! tour of California in September that year.
