The Residents performed their debut live tour The Mole Show on October 27th 1982 at the second of two sold out shows at the Kabuki Theatre in San Francisco, California.[1]
One of the Kabuki shows (likely the show on the 26th) was professionally filmed; footage from the show is featured on the Mole Show Live in San Francisco DVD included in the limited edition Mole Show "bag set" released in 2009.
Shortly after the Kabuki shows, The Cryptic Corporation's financier John Kennedy resigned from the company, leaving graphic designer Homer Flynn and sound engineer Hardy Fox to manage The Residents' business affairs (at an inopportune time).[1]
