Donations via Liberapay

ImaginaryJacques (Admin) ๐Ÿ’€ (talk) 00:28, 15 February 2026 (EST)

ATTENTION WIKI-WATCHERS! After almost a decade of operation, The Mysterious Spanish Ladies have opened donations to assist with hosting costs and maintenance of RZWiki.

As you will know if you are reading this, in December 2025 The Ladies decided to migrate the wiki from the free platform Fandom to a private host, in order to reclaim full editorial control and to keep the site ad-free.

This means that while the wiki previously cost no money to operate, it will now cost a not-insignificant amount of money to host in the longer term. For this reason, and despite being reluctant to accept any form of recompense for our work, The Ladies are now opening donations to assist with the ongoing maintenance of the wiki, so that it can remain a comprehensive, fan-sourced and ad-free reference point on The Residents for many years to come.

If you have found the wiki useful, or if you are a regular user, we would appreciate your contribution to help us develop this resource for all Residents fans for many years to come. Any and all donations received will go entirely towards the cost of running the wiki, which will remain free and open for all to enjoy.

The Ladies have opted to go with the non-profit, open source donation platform Liberapay, as it most closely reflects The Ladies' philosophy and mission statement (although this platform also has its drawbacks; specifically Liberapay will require you to sign up for an account before you can donate).

Small donations are all that is required - unfortunately Liberapay is currently not equipped to handle one-off donations, however if you set up a recurring donation, you can arrange for a one-off payment by cancelling the recurring donation after the first payment has been made.

The Mysterious Spanish Ladies thank you for your consideration.

ATTENTION RESIDENTS FANS AND WIKI-WATCHERS! The day we've all been waiting for has finally arrived: Meet The Residents Wiki has now migrated from Fandom to a private host! In addition to the change of host, the wiki has also changed name - what was once Meet The Residents Wiki is now RZWiki! The wiki's new URL is simple and easy to remember: https://residents.wiki/

All of the former wiki's content has been successfully replicated on the new host, and the management team remains largely the same (with a special shout out to our new sysop Natios, without whom this process would have been far more difficult). Signing up to contribute to the new wiki no longer means providing your data to the cold, corporate monster known as Fandom - instead the new wiki is entirely independent and wholly operated by your pals and fellow fans, The Mysterious Spanish Ladies!

The reasons for moving away from Fandom to a private host are many and varied, and most will be obvious to those of you who have been regular users of the Fandom version of the wiki in recent years. The new version of the wiki has NO ADS, NO IRRELEVANT LINKS, and NO UNWANTED CENSORSHIP/EDITORIAL INTERFERENCE FROM FANDOM STAFF!

Unfortunately, as Fandom does not allow users to delete wikis from their platform once they have been established, the old version of the wiki remains intact at Fandom - to our extreme disdain there is nothing we can do about this except spread the word externally, as Fandom's ridiculous "forking" policy doesn't even allow us to update the wiki to direct visitors towards the new URL!

You can help us out by updating your bookmarks and your memory banks to the new URL - that's https://residents.wiki/ - by signing up to the new wiki and making edits and updates, and by leaving the Fandom wiki to become increasingly irrelevant and out-of-date as The Mysterious Spanish Ladies continue to chronicle the ongoing artistic efforts of North Louisiana's Phenomenal Pop Combo at our new, shiny, happy home!

Hurry, scurry, but don't worry - visit RZWiki at https://residents.wiki/ today!

Meet The Residents Wiki announcements (2017-2025)

Meet The Residents Wiki comix has left the building...

ImaginaryJacques (Admin) ๐Ÿ’€ (talk) 21 June 2024

It is only appropriate that our home page webcomic feature enters hiatus at the end of June in exactly the same way it began 18 months ago - with our longest running entries, Mole Hill and The Negative Zone!

Thanks as always to our fabulous comix veterans Una, Kula Kirby and dare, and to everyone who has contributed their time and artistic talent to this ambitious wiki beautification project... so far!

The comix may return when a special occasion calls for them... But until then...

Happy Valentine's Day!

ImaginaryJacques (Admin) ๐Ÿ’€ (talk) 14 February 2023

Meet The Residents Wiki (and by extension, The Mysterious Spanish Ladies) would like to wish all of its readers a very happy Valentine's Day - and are proud as pie to premiere this special, one-off comic strip from our newest contributor, "dare"!

Thanks to dare for the comic, and thank YOU for being so terrific. The Ladies love you all.

Happy new year to our beloved readers!

To usher Meet The Residents Wiki into its SIXTH year of operation, The Mysterious Spanish Ladies are thrilled to introduce a brand new feature to the wiki's home page - COMIX!

That's right, as of RIGHT NOW you can see the first two of our ongoing Residents-inspired comic strips on our home page, under the heading "Comix".

Premiering this week: Mole Hill, a Mole Trilogy inspired comic strip by one of The Ladies' newest (and youngest!) contributors, Kula Kirby, and The Negative Zone, an intentionally crudely-drawn semi-constrained comic strip in the vein of Red Meat, by the wiki's head of graphic design Una Misteriosa, featuring the ephemeral character Nobody (removed from The Residents' Not Available early in development).

Throughout the month of January, to celebrate our SIXTH ANNIVERSARY on January 29th, we will be posting new strips every Sunday. From February onwards, the strips will be updated on a sporadic basis, so keep your eyes peeled!

Any budding artists who have a great idea for a strip (either one-shot or ongoing) are encouraged to reach out to The Mysterious Spanish Ladies - if we like your idea/comic we will probably feature it in the following update!

Expect to see occasional cool stuff that we come across in our research for the wiki, and maybe even some off-wiki fun fan projects to come... but I couldn't tell you that for sure. I have no references for that information.

1000th page!

ImaginaryJacques (Admin) ๐Ÿ’€ (talk) 15 August 2021

Meet The Residents Wiki just reached its thousandth page! Fittingly, the page is Issue #14 of Hardy Fox's Hacienda Bridge newsletter, long missing from the internet!

That means, every issue EVER of the Hacienda Bridge newsletter is now represented online, either here or in the original Mailchimp archive.

EDIT: The issues missing from the Mailchimp archive have now also been archived on the wiki in the form of PDF copies of the original emails. Links to these files can be found on the relevant pages.

New Fandom Desktop and talk pages!

ImaginaryJacques (Admin) ๐Ÿ’€ (talk) 31 July 2021

You may have noticed some changes in design around the Wiki recently - this is because Fandom have been kind enough to completely upgrade and change their platform (which is still causing a variety of bugs around the place as well) - you can read about the changes here: https://community.fandom.com/wiki/User_blog:MisterWoodhouse/Introducing_FandomDesktop,_the_new_look_and_feel_for_desktop_users

In addition, I have turned off the "article comment" feature, as all pages on the Wiki now have dedicated talk pages. Existing comments have been backed up to the talk pages and can be found under the "Archived comments" heading.

You can access the talk page of each article via the drop down box to the right of the title of the page, it is the bottom option:

Hopefully, all this should eventually result in a smoother user experience for both editors and casual readers! In the meantime, if you see anything out of place please feel free to reach out to a member of the admin team to have it looked into.

Don't forget to sign off your talk page comments with four tildes! ~~~~

Welcome to the admin team Cosmichobo1!

ImaginaryJacques (Admin) ๐Ÿ’€ (talk) 13 May 2021

In recognition of her wonderful contributions to this community, I have decided to add Cosmichobo1 to the admin team!

Congratulations and thank you, Cosmichobo1, for your tireless efforts in making this Wiki a better and more informative place!

New user rules page for Meet The Residents Wiki!

ImaginaryJacques (Admin) ๐Ÿ’€ (talk) 28 March 2021

Hi all - if you intend to contribute to the wiki, please take the time to read through our new user rules page - as of this writing there are nine rules (other than the general Fandom Terms of Use, which we are all expected to follow) and I think they are all quite reasonable, though The Mysterious Spanish Ladies are obviously open to further discussion and amendment of these rules as need arises.

If you have any questions please feel free to leave me a message here or you can contact the Ladies in the Mysterious Spanish, Uninc. Discord server!
