2011

2011 was largely dedicated to the final legs of the Talking Light tour, which had started in January of 2010, aside from that The Residents released 2 studio albums Lonely Teenager and Chuck's Ghost Music, and the band Sonidos De La Noche (comprising of 3/4 of The Residents) released Coochie Brake. The year also featured the first performances of Randy Rose's Sam's Enchanted Evening live performance at The Marsh in Berkeley, California.

  • 4th: JB@45 is released.[3]
  • 8th: The extended remix of Not Available is released on vinyl.
  • 15th: The Residents perform at Logan Square, Chicago, Illinois.
  • 16th: The Residents perform at Turner Hall, Milwaukee, Wisconsin
  • 23rd: The Residents release Lonely Teenager as a CD-R through their website.

March

  • 15th: The Residents perform at Lunario del Auditorio Nacional, Mexico City, Mexico. Expanded versions of Lonely Teenager and Dollar General (retitled to Dolor Generar - Una Noche Lost En Van Horn, Texas,) are released as tour exclusive CD-Rs.
  • 17th: The Residents perform at Wonder Ballroom, Portland, Oregon.
  • 18th: The Residents perform at Neumos, Seattle, Washington.
  • 19th: The Residents perform at the Rickshaw Theater, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Talking Light Portland Oregon is released.[4]
  • 21st: The Residents perform at the Myer Horowitz Theater, Edmondton, Alberta, Canada. Talking Light Seattle Washington and Talking Light Vancouver BC Canada are released.[5]
  • 22nd: The Residents perform at The Gateway, Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
  • 23rd: The Residents' Talking Light in 3D Kickstarter is launched.
  • 24th: The Residents perform at the West End Cultural Center, Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada
  • 25th: The Residents perform at The Cedar, Minneapolis, Minnesota. Randy's Ghost Stories is released on DVD. This is the first official release of the film, as the earlier DVD pressing had an incomplete edit and the DVD-R pressing was in low quality.
  • 26th: The Residents perform at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago, Illinois.
  • 28th: The Residents perform at The Opera House, Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
  • 29th: The Residents perform at Club Soda, Montreal, Québec, Canada.
  • 30th: The Residents perform at Somerville Theater, Boston, Massachusetts.
