2005

2005 was The Residents' 33rd Anniversary. It was celebrated with their first tour of Australia in 19 years, and is well remembered for the release of Animal Lover.

January

• 15th: Euro Ralph re-release Duck Stab and Not Available on LP and CD.

February

• 15th: MVD re-release the 'Icky Flix' DVD.
• 22nd: Promotional copies of Animal Lover are released in the USA.
• The French compilation album 'Thrill Of Colette' is released. It features 'Love Theme From A Major Motion Picture' from the recently released WB:RMX.

March

• 4th: The Residents debut 'The Way We Were' at The Forum Theatre, Melbourne, Australia.
• 5th: The Residents perform The Way We Were at The Forum Theatre, Melbourne, Australia.
• 8th: The Residents perform at The Metro Theatre, Sydney, Australia
• 10th: The Residents perform at The Metro Theatre, Sydney, Australia
• 12th: The Residents perform at The Powerhuse, Brisbane, Australia.
• 17th: The Residents Play Wormwood is announced.
• 28th: Animal Lover is released in the western world.

April

• 29th: The Residents return from Australia.
• D-Side #27 is released. It is a French magazine which comes with a CD of new music, including the recently released 'Two-Lips.'

June

• 7th: Animal Lover is released on vinyl.
• 23rd: The Residents Live At The Fillmore is re-issued in a limited edition of 1,000.
• 26th: Animal Lover is released in Japan.

July

• 13th: The Residents Play Wormwood is released.

August

• 1st: Promotional copies of Mute Records' Third Reich N Roll are sent to radio stations, reviewers, and stores.
• 2nd: The Residents Play Wormwood is released in Germany.
• 10th: Mute Records' Mole Trilogy CD re-issues are announced.

September

• 2nd: Not Available is re-issued on CD, LP as part of The Residents Classic Vinyl Series.
• 26th: Mute Records' Hardback Third Reich N Roll Re-issue is released.
• The Residents, who's studio was undergoing a seismic upgrade, are offered the opportunity to record at a newly built studio in Romania.

October

• 24th: The Way We Were is released.
• DJ Morpheus - I Can't Live Without My Radio is released. It is a French compilation album that features Kaw-Liga (Nightmare Mix)

November

• 14th: Mute Records' Mole Trilogy re-issues are released.

December

• 13th: Mute Records release their two Mole Trilogy box-sets.
