On November 10th 2010, The Residents performed Talking Light at the Centre Pompidou in Paris, France. The show took place at the iconic Centre Georges Pompidou, was The Residents' fourth show in France in seven months, but was their first show in Paris since 2001. The group would play at the Pompidou again the next day. Both shows were sold out, and the venue asked The Residents to issue a statement telling their fans to stop calling.

The performance was recorded and released shortly after the show as part of The Residents' Talking Light (Live) download series, on the group's online download platform, Robot Selling Device.

Talking Light Paris Pomidou Show 1 (Also known as Talking Light Paris France Show 1) is a digital-only live album by The Residents It is the fifth release of their third series of Talking Light downloads, and is the thirty-seventh of sixty digital relaeses of Talking Light world tour. It was released six days after being recorded.

As the Pompidou is respected venue for high art performances, the live album was promoted more than the other thirty-six other Talking Light shows.
