"The Residents kind of felt like once they could read a review of one of their albums in Rolling Stone or whatever, well, Theory of Obscurity really no longer is valid in the same way. But you know, they've been at this for fifty years, and in fifty years, you have a lot of ups and downs, and they've had periods of downs where they've felt like 'well, nobody's paying that much attention to us anymore, we can kind of go back and do Theory of Obscurity again', and so in certain ways I think maybe it kind of resurrected itself for them at different times."
