"Santa Dog for Gamelan" is a CD single by The Residents, released in an extremely limited edition of only six copies in late December 1999, exclusively as Christmas presents to friends of the group.
Little known to fans and not announced publicly at the time, it is one of the rarest items in The Residents' discography; no copies of the single are known to exist. The single, featuring a unique version of The Residents' song "Santa Dog" arranged for gamelan orchestra, follows the release of the compilation album Refused earlier in the month (on which this version was not featured).
The song itself was later released as an MP3 on the Ralph America website, and was then collected on the compilation album dot.com in August 2000. In 2009, it was featured on the digital release The Bridegroom of Blood. In 2019, it was included on the Klanggalerie reissue of Refused, and then on the vinyl Santa Dog 50th Anniversary Collection in 2022.
The single's cover artwork was auctioned in January 2026 as part of the estate of Hardy Fox.
