Murder

Murder is a recurring theme in The Residents' work. The act of taking someone's life is a grim macabre topic, the likes of which The Residents love to dissect.

• The Old Woman (1994)
  • 'Angel, answer my prayer, and tell me if anyone else, knows how much I am scared, that I might murder myself'
• I Murdered Mommy! (1997)
  • An entirely instrumental mini-album designed to promote an unfinished game of the same name
• Wormwood (1998)
  • The Residents' Wormwood album features several references to biblically accurate murders.
• Murder Me (2006)
  • An instrumental composition later featured on the limited edition 'Music To Eat Bricks By' album.
• Strange Culture (2007)
  • This documentary tells the story of Steve Kurtz, accused of murder.
