Morning no. 1 (Hardy Fox newsletter)
On September 23rd 2018, subscribers to Hardy Fox's Hacienda Bridge mailing list received an email with the subject "morning".
This short email from Fox confirmed reports that he was suffering a terminal illness, and is the final entry in the series of newsletters written by Fox - a second "morning" email followed on October 30th 2018, announcing his death from brain cancer.
This email is archived on Mailchimp along with many previous issues of the newsletter.

I’m 73. Dying of a head thing that will get me soon. So what.
I had a dream that when I got up and looked in the mirror, my old father was looking at me from the rear. I did not look at him but asked why he was looking at me. He was sad and wished he could be part of my face. I suppose I am a rather happy guy my whole life. I sighed, said ok but he could never never participate in my sexuality ideas. So he joined me. I see him most mornings now and he is smiling at me. I kinda look forward to being a part of my father.
