Sam's Enchanted Evening version
During The Residents performance of Sam's Enchanted Evening at The Marsh in Berkeley Sam would give many monolog in-between almost every song. Here is a transcription of this monolog as found on the Klanggalerie release of this show.
Yeah, I got the fever, I got the fever and, and I got married. Her name, her name was Jenny Sue, but everybody in her family called her Suette so, hell I called her Suette too. And then, a couple of years later, along comes little Sam… Little Sammy… Sammy Junior…
*Mack “Ptts” at Sam*
Uhh, Uhh, Uhh Suette! You know, waking up next to Suette was just like living in the spring time all year around, she was just as sweet and pure as a flower on a baby's belly. But! That did not stop me from uhh. Pumping my piston up my new secretary's cylinder block. Couple of weeks after Suette and I got married, and, ha let me tell you she did not! Take to my wandering ways.
Notes
- This is the first time Sammy Jr. is brought up and one of the only times Jenny Sue is brought up.
