Sam's Enchanted Evening version

During The Residents performance of Sam's Enchanted Evening at The Marsh in Berkeley Sam would give many monolog in-between almost every song. Here is a transcription of this monolog as found on the Klanggalerie release of this show.

And that was it, that was it. Riding around in my Pontiac, partying, getting laid, partying some more. TIll uh. Uhhh. Till I flunked out of college, and let me tell you heh, back in 1968, flunking out of college was something you did NOT want to do because, what happened was, they drafted me. And, sense my old man was an ex-army major in. The Big one. There wasn't any talk about not going. It was my duty to do for my country.

So, I got drafted, and they sent me off to uhh. Saigon. But, you know, Saigon wasn't so bad. There was a, there was a hell of a lot more action there! Let me tell you then there was back home, and. WHAT! Talk about pussy. I MEAN! You never lived till you popped your pecker inside one of those slanted eye chicks.
