List of spokespeople for The Residents
The Residents don't talk, it's against their own intercanal rules to ever make contact with The Press, or anyone like that. So, they get people to do it for them. Individuals who they share with exactly what they want known at exactly what time. These individuals are hand picked by the group.
List

- Period: October 1982 - July 1983
Narrator of The Mole Show and the 10th Anniversary Radio Special, Penn Jillette was hired because he was the exact opposite of The Residents. Easily agitated, straight laced, and decidedly un-hip. At least, that's the character he portrayed in interviews.
- Period: June - October 1983
Frequent collaborator with the group and ex-wife of Hardy Fox, Nessie Lessons was occasionally brought on as The Residents' spokesperson when Penn Jillette was unavailable.
- Period: October 1985 - Present
Homer Flynn is a life-long friend and 'babysitter' of The Residents. He has co-produced many of their albums with Hardy Fox, and has created a vast majority of the group's artwork since The Warner Brothers album.
- Period: 1981 - 2016
Hardy Fox, being one half of The Cryptic Corporation, only occasionally spoke for the group. Although, he was responsible for much of the group's press releases. In 2018, he revealed he was a co-founder, composer, and performer for The Residents.
