Laurie Amat is a vocalist who has collaborated with The Residents frequently since the late 80s.

Background

Laurie's first role with The Residents was as a backing vocalist on 'Hit The Road Jack'

She continued to work with The Residents as their go-to female voice until the late 90s, laying much of the groundwork for Molly Harvey's vocal style. In 1995 she was part of the Freak Show Live backing band.

Shortly after this, she released a solo album, titled "L'Amateur De La Vie", and in 2014 released an album with Timeghost, Laurie collaborated with the residents again in 2020 during the God In Three Persons mini-tour.
