Combo de Mecanico
Combo de Mecanico was an offshoot project of The Residents, largely led by Charles Bobuck, the group's primary composer.
Combo de Mecanico were credited for a single release, the High Horses EP, in 2001.
History
Combo de Mecanico is an early example of what would later be referred to as "Charles Bobuck contraptions" - projects composed by Bobuck which did not seem to fit the group's catalogue as proper Residents releases.
Bobuck released one EP as Combo de Mecanico, entitled High Horses, in 2001 as a limited edition on Ralph America.
Members of the group would begin a similar side project for the same purpose, this time named Sonidos de la Noche, in 2011 for the release of Coochie Brake.
