  • 19th: An image of The Residents curiously observing a train wreck with the caption "THE RESIDENTS ARE A TRAIN WRACKED BY GOD" is posted on Randy Rose's Tumblr.
  • 20th: Randy Rose uploads his "goodbye song" to Charles Bobuck who recently announced his departure from The Residents.
  • 28th: Don Hardy's film Theory of Obscurity is released on DVD and Blu-Ray by MVD.
  • 28th: The Residents perform Shadowland in Nijmegen, Holland.
  • 29th: The Residents perform Shadowland in Zurich, Switzerland.

  • 3rd: The Residents perform Shadowland in Dallas, Texas.
  • 4th: The Residents perform Shadowland in Austin, Texas.
  • 6th: The Residents perform Shadowland in Phoenix, Arizona.
  • 8th: The Residents perform Shadowland in Solana Beach, California.
  • 10th: Daydream B-Liver is reissued by Klanggalerie.

July

  • 2nd: The Residents perform Shadowland in Moscow, Russia.

August

  • 12th: Charles Bobuck publishes his second iBook, The Swords of Slidell — an adaptation of the short story "The Swords" by Robert Aickman.
    • The soundtrack for the book is released by Klanggalerie on the TOOK sub-label, a partnership project between Bobuck and the label's manager Walter Robotka. To make up for several unforeseen shipping delays, Bobuck offers a total of six free "Tiny Tunes" on his Bandcamp.
    • Around the same time, Hardy Fox announces his departure from the Cryptic Corporation, and gives ownership of The Residents' website to Chris Combs while launching his own website, hardyfox.com.
  • 16th: Loris Gréaud's Sculpt premieres at the LACMA in Los Angeles, California.
  • 30th: The Bobuck EP Later Tonight is bundled with copies of The Swords of Slidell soundtrack.

September

  • 18th: The forty-fourth and final episode of RandyLand is released.
  • 19th: Two new releases are issued on Klanggalerie: the expanded Delta Nudes CD, and Bobuck's fourth solo album, Bobuck Plays The Residents.

October

  • 1st: The first edition of the Hacienda Bridge e-mail newsletter — a joint project from Hardy Fox and Walter Robotka — is issued. Editions of the newsletter, issued every two weeks, consisted of essays and articles from Robotka, Hardy, and Will Rothers, as well as free "Tiny Tunes" from Bobuck.
  • 4th: An image is posted on Randy Rose's Tumblr of a clapboard for a film shoot of a "Double Trouble Trailer."
  • 31st: The free BLACK TAR album is released on Bobuck's Bandcamp for Halloween; users are free to pay whatever they like, and the proceeds from the album are given to charity.

November

December

  • 5th: The Disfigured Night CD is released by Klanggalerie.
  • 7th: Charles Bobuck's Missing Soldiers is reissued on Klanggalerie's TOOK label.
  • 25th: The Grandpa Gio project concludes as predicted.
